Pro and Con for kettlebells

Hello everyone!

I hope this is the right section for my question.

Due to health issues I have to take a longer break for now and am thinking about expanding my training equipment.

Some information on what's my goal:

I am focusing on strenght due to my Kenjutsu training. We are not only learning the traditional way to fight with Katana, but also "Niten" so with both Katana and Wakizashi, which means I need strenght in both my arms to keep up the right posture and fight with both the short and the long sword.

So I am in need of "dynamic" strenght and control of my movements. I need to be able to stop the weapon "at any point" in it's movement.

Which made me think of buying kettlebells.

But I am unsure if kettlebells are the right "tool" to use for my goal.

So I'd like to know the pros and cons of training with kettlebells to help me decide on that.
