Training with sore muscles ?

My thighs are still pretty sore after a strength + HIIT workout I did on Sunday (FB Burn round 2, day 12, with the extra challenge). The rest of my body is fine. The workout planned for today (Tuesday) is Upper Body Strength & HIIT, plus a workout for butt and thighs as an extra challenge. Part of the hiit group of exercises targets the legs (jumping lunges, mt. climbers, squat jack jumps). What happens if I train my legs with sore muscles? Will I hinder my progress by hurting my muscles?
