Got up at 2.45 a.m. this morning, off in the car by 3.20, on the boat at 7.30, in our hotel room at 17.30......
The five countries were:
England, which we left this morning
France, where we arrived from the ferry
Belgium, which we drove through
Luxembourg, which we drove through
Germany, which we drove through and where our hotel is.
And as to “visiting”: all we saw was tarmac and more tarmac and more tarmac....and a very soggy sandwich at lunchtime! 🤣 We have a great hotel room though!!! And the hotel has a pool and a gym. Unfortunately I can’t remember where I packed the sports gear, I know it is somewhere in the car, but where.... So it will just have to be a nice stretch tonight! After a nice hearty meal in the restaurant. And early to bed!
BTW Tomorrow we will add a 6th country: Austria, where we will be skiing....YAY!
To some of you five countries may sound amazing, because we “only” did 1000 kilometers today.... that is how close everything in Europe is 😜
