The Dish
Treat yourself to a nutritiously-rewarding dessert. This, surprisingly quick, frozen yogurt recipe uses natural ingredients for very satisfying results. Frozen mixed berries are blended with honey, plain Greek yogurt, and lemon juice. Using frozen berries speeds up the freezing process, needing just another hour or two to chill before serving. We added a little crunchy element to this recipe with these crispy cinnamon cups. Certainly not a requirement for this recipe, but they add a little extra layer of goodness. Whole wheat tortillas (such a versatile ingredient) are lightly brushed with cinnamon-honey and baked crisp. We use an inverted, large, muffin tin to get the bowl effect. Delicious.

Hacking this Recipe: Because we limit the amount of sugar/sweetener in this frozen yogurt recipe, if left in the freezer for too long it will become icy. Best to make this recipe the day you intend to eat them for best results. The crispy cinnamon cups can be made days in advance and, once completely cooled, stored at room temperature (in zipper bags or in a sealable container).

Vegetarian and Vegan Modifications: Feel free to eliminate the yogurt in this recipe all together for a very tasty sorbet.

Gluten-Free Modifications: Instead of gluten-free cups, make cinnamon honey chips, using gluten-free tortillas, as a crispy treat to serve with your frozen yogurt.
