This Cranberry Blueberry Smoothie is made with 100% pure cranberry juice and it offers a wealth of health perks.

Health benefits of pure cranberry juice:

The banana gives the drink substance that will help keep your hunger at bay. It also serves up a healthy amount of fiber, manganese, vitamin B6, and potassium.

The blend combines these nutritious ingredients for a tangy, flavorful, and visually appealing treat. It’s perfect for a cool refreshment on a hot day and it also makes for a good after workout smoothie. Add a bit of healthy honey for natural sweetening.


Ingredients
1 Cup 100% Cranberry Juice (They should be the only ingredient)
1 Banana
1 Cup Frozen Blueberries
1.5 Tbsp Honey
Cinnamon, to taste

Add the cranberry juice and banana to the blender. Next blend in the frozen blueberries and honey. Add cinnamon to taste.

Makes one large smoothie.


This smoothie is very low in fat. Whether you are watching your weight or not, it’s a good idea to take in a bit of heart healthy fat with each meal; your body needs it to function and it helps to satisfy your hunger for a longer period of time. A tablespoon of peanut butter, a quarter of an avocado, or slice of cheese would all be great choices for possible accompaniments with a low fat smoothie like this one.
