Chai is a fragrant and flavorful beverage heartily seasoned with cardamom, ginger, cinnamon, cloves, and anise. We wanted to capture all of those chai aromatics and infuse them into our breakfast meal routine without having to craft chai tea from scratch (chai has a lot of ingredients). To simplify our prep steps and still achieve the desired flavor, we use chai latte mix (easily found at your local grocery store in the coffee/tea aisle). We sprinkle and toss the chai latte mix with our other granola ingredients; oats, nuts, olive oil, honey, and dried fruit. This is one tasty granola and the perfect accompaniment to your morning parfaits, yogurt, or smoothie bowls. 

Vegan Modifications: Feel free to swap out the honey in this recipe for agave. Most chai latte dry mixes contain milk powder, look for either a vegan version or one that does not contain dairy.
