Lie on a mat with your feet together and your hands palm down on the mat next to your ribcage.
Slowly press through your hands and lift your chest as you arch up and back.
Press your arms down to the ground, pulling your shoulders down and away from your ears.
Arch your back as much as is comfortable, then hold for 20 seconds or more before slowly lowering yourself back down to the mat.
The Cobra Stretch is a Yoga pose that targets the front of your body from hip to chest and also works to decompress your spine. This move is good to do either before or after a core intensive routine and can help to improve trunk mobility when done on a regular basis.
