Strawberry Mango Smoothie: High Fiber Smoothie

Strawberry Mango Smoothie: High Fiber Smoothie

Healthy Recipes

Overview

Mangos contain phenols, which have been proven to help fight off various cancers. They are also high in fiber, antioxidants, iron and potassium.

Strawberries are also high in fiber and antioxidants. The combo makes for a blend that is incredibly smooth tasting and incredibly healthy.

Enjoy this drink after a workout, or when digestion has slowed; besides the fact that the blend is high in fiber, the mango helps to soothe an upset stomach and encourages healthy digestion as does the dose of healthy bacteria that comes from the yogurt. This is also a great cholesterol reducer due to the high amount of soluble and insoluble fiber.

Ingredients
1 Cup Mango
1 Cup Frozen Strawberries
1 Banana
¾ Cup Plain Yogurt
¼ Cup Milk

Add the milk, banana, and yogurt to the blender and mix well. Add the frozen strawberries and mix again. For a thinner consistency, use thawed berries or more milk.

Makes one serving.
